Welcome to Hamverse!!
Owning a hamster is a big commitment.
Remember that owning a hamster is a want, not a need. You have to take proper care of your hamster if you are going to get one, which means you have to provide your hamster with all of its necessities. This is going to take a large sum of money.
Furthermore, you need to constantly clean the cage and feed your pet. If you don't have enough time to do that, do not get a hamster.
A hamster is also not the best pet for a child, especially if your parents are not willing to participate in taking care of the hamster. A child does not have a steady flow of income, and most likely won't be able to pay for all the necessities a hamster needs. Hamsters are also nocturnal, and will not be awake to play with you during the day. Please do not wake up your hamster to play or try to change their sleep schedule, as this will be stressful for them.
Note: Hamsters are solitary!! Please don't risk putting several hamsters together because they will fight.
